How to Care for Your Henna Design:

Keep the paste on for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Cover the henna by wrapping it with toilet paper and taping it in place to keep henna off your sheets while you sleep.

Do NOT smudge the design while the paste is wet, or you will ruin the stain.
Henna paste takes about 15-20 minutes to dry.

Keep the henna warm.
You may use a heating pad set on low, over a cloth or use a blow dryer with caution or hold the hennaed area carefully over a hot cup of tea to steam the design, or wear a sock over it after wrapping.

**Do NOT use water.to remove the paste.**
Peel or scrape it off gently. You may use any vegetable oil on a cotton round to soften the paste and help remove it if it sticks.

Keep the stain dry for at least 12-18 hours after paste removal.
Chlorinated water will stop the stain from getting darker. If you must shower, moisturize well with a natural moisturizer over the hennaed area, and do not scrub the hennaed area.

Be patient.
When you first remove the paste, the stain will be a light orange color. This will darken over the next 48-72 hours to a red/brown color.

After the stain darkens, keep the hennaed area well moisturized.
Apply thick moisturizer such as olive oil or cocoa butter before showering or swimming.

Designs can last from about 1-2 weeks or longer.
Scrubbing, exfoliating, or swimming in chlorinated water will remove the stained skin more quickly.

Enjoy your henna!
